Please note:

  • The short works extracted from major works -- I list these here for the sake of completeness, but the Publisher, with my agreement, decided for business reasons to withhold them from their catalogue until the parent major works have gained more public attention.
  • The works listed below which are not in the Publisher's list -- Unless somebody comes forward to do the very major work of producing scores from my MIDI files of those works, they will become lost. I have other priorities in my life now, and so, for the foreseeable future, music work will have no further part in my life, apart from my being willing to give a small amount of guidance to anyone who takes on that score production task. Please contact me if you are interested in taking on that task, or/and would like to publish any or all of the so-far unpublished works.

Notes

  • Trumpets. In general trumpets can be either Bb or C, but in some works there are the odd phrases which reach top D. For those a C trumpet is indicated.

  • Piccolo, Cor Anglais & Bass Clarinet. These do require separate players and cannot be doubled with 2nd Flute, Oboe or Clarinet respectively.

  • In all works, 'Cymbals' means both held and suspended ones.

  • Double choirs. Where '2 x SATB' is indicated, the two choirs are required to be segregated and well spread laterally if at all possible, for antiphonal effects, with the following arrangement: S1-A1-T1-B1-B2-T2-A2-S2.

  • Occasionally a detail of the instrumentation may be amended as I produce the score of a particular work. Any such changes are normally made only to enhance playability of the work.

SYMPHONY No. 10 (Pilgrimage to Gosainkund) -- 17:00

Pre-recorded: Tubular bell sounds supplied by the Publisher on CD; this ensures that the intended sounds are used. This requires a musician and not just a technician to operate the CD player, because there are nine places in the score where the operator must press 'Pause' where marked in the score, immediately advancing the track number, then pressing 'Pause' again to restart play exactly on cue.
Or:
Keyboard: Wide range electronic / MIDI keyboard (at least 3 octaves either way from Middle C) configured with quality tubular bell sound playable through the whole range. The samples must be unlooped and the sound must be undamped, with a long release period set (about 50 seconds works).
Ideally the keyboard range would be panned across the soundstage, with the lowest notes to the left. The keyboard must be connected to a stereo speaker system that is of high enough quality to reproduce well the low frequencies and powerful feel of the lowest notes.
